On board of cruiser Gorizia. A picture of a gunner near his Breda 20 mm twin barrel Anti Aircraft machine gun. Breda gun were very effective and enhanced anti-aircraft defense capabilities of Italian ships. Whenever British soldiers captured this type of weapon they used both naval and land versions. The famous Chevrolet trucks of the Long Range Desert Group were, if possible, armed with 20mm Breda. (Author’s collection)
