The Greek Independence Day – The flying machines over the Acropolis

Greece celebrated 201 years since the start of its struggle for independence from the Ottoman Empire on Thursday, March 25, 2021.

After almost 400 years under Ottoman Turkish rule, the Greeks launched a revolution in 1821, and with help from countries including Britain, France and Russia, won their independence in 1832.

Among the highlights of the parade were the “Greek” Spitfire MJ755 and the Dassault Rafale.
