In the feature “Then and Now, 1941-2019: The “Guns of Navarone” in Crete” the German WW2 battery at the northernmost tip of Crete was presented, with photos by Mr. Nikolaos Suladakis and Mr. Nikolaos Melakis.
Now, through the personal archive of Mr. Nikolaos Melakis, we can see the different views of the construction of the bunker and battery positions, the construction of the road from Menies bay to the German artillery position, as well as more photos of the artillery shell casing found at the battery position.
