A true legend of the skies, a Hellenic Air Force F-104 Starfighter, with a unique paint scheme, has been given a full refurbishment, making it once again a proud warbird.

The paint scheme depicts Mount Olympus, the tallest mountain of Greece, known as the “home of the ancient gods” in Greek mythology, as 336 squadron HAF has its emblem based on Mount Olympus.

This specific Starfighter, No 7151, served with the German Air Force (22+70) and was introduced in the Hellenic Air Force in 1982.

The talented maintenance crew of the Hellenic Air Force Museum took the challenge to freshen up the colour scheme, which had faded away, as the aircraft was exhibited on the tarmac of Tatoi Air Base, where the Museum is located and was exposed to the elements.
